WHO WAS ZION?
The animation above basically demonstrates the answer provided in Astronomical Revelations or 666.
However, this excerpt from a 1997 review of Larry Brian Radka's Astronomical Revelations or 666 by Joseph Polansky, the Editor of Diamond Fire Magazine, may inspire you to read more (for FREE) about planet Zion in Astronomical Revelations or 666. He wrote:
"Traditionally, the Book of Revelation has been the doorway to the study of the occult sciences and for the deeper aspects of metaphysics. Deep occult and metaphysical truths are buried there. But our Author used it as a doorway to the Physical Sciences--to Astronomy and Cosmology. His interpretation is unique, original, and very educational.
"By his rendition, Revelation is not just a story of future prophecy--the end times etc.--but of many things that have already happened. The "Dragons and other creatures mentioned in the Scripture are comets and meteors (the heavenly warriors) that have wrought havoc and destruction upon the earth. Zion was an actual planet that existed between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter and which was destroyed by a comet (dragon). Her remains became Venus, Mars, Mercury, and Earth--as well as the asteroid belt and other celestial debris.
"But 666 is much more than just an interpretation of Scripture. It is a scientific treatise, meticulously documented and researched. A source book on comets, meteors, asteroids and celestial phenomena. He shows how many of the natural disasters that affected the planet--the Flood, the extinction of the dinosaurs, the sinking of Atlantis etc.--were actually caused by cosmetic collisions with earth. Many things in the Bible attributed to "Acts of God"--Heavenly Retribution--did in fact come from the "heavens"--in the form of comets and meteors."
But is it possible for a planet to busted into pieces by a comet or huge asteroid?
Perhaps the excerpt posted below from Astronomical Revelations or 666 will convince you that the answer is "YES!"
Between 1962 and 1975 the United States launched a series of unmanned spacecraft known as the Mariner probes, which gave us the first close-up pictures of Mercury, Venus, and Mars. On Mercury was discovered evidence of the near destruction of an entire planet. Mariner 10 sent us pictures back of a hyper velocity impact crater that stretched nearly a thousand miles across the face of Mercury. The impact of the monstrous asteroid which blew out this valley was powerful enough to send tremendous shock waves through its molten interior, and mountains, some thousands of feet high, promptly bulged out on the other side.
In 1977 the United States launched an unmanned spacecraft, Voyager 1 and 2, on a mission to survey most of the outer planets. Two years later, they sent back pictures of Jupiter's moons. The images were devastating. Those of Callisto were almost unbelievable. Commenting on this unfortunate moon, a NASA publication said that "it bears the scars of innumerable meteoric impacts"--and "is basically a dead world."
In 1980 the two flew on to Saturn, and sent back another devastating report. One of his moons, Hyperion, is tumbling chaotically. This was long thought to be a dynamic impossibility. It may give us hint as to why large asteroids have managed to reach the Earth. Mimas, another Saturnian moon, with cracks that indicate it is flawed clear through, was another shocking wreck. Here is how the space agency described its most outstanding surface feature:
"The most striking surface feature of Mimas is the giant crater (tentatively name Arthur for the legendary King Arthur) 130 kilometers in diameter located near the center of the leading hemisphere (longitude 100 degrees, latitude 0 degrees). The floor of Arthur is as much as 10 kilometers deep, and a large central mountain rises to a height of 6 kilometers from the crater floor. This crater, about one-third the diameter of the satellite, was produced by impact with a body about 10 kilometers across--very nearly as large and impact as could occur without breaking Mimas apart."
This is undoubtedly what happened to another of Saturn's moons. One half is labeled S10, which is about 150 miles across. The other half is called S11, which is a potato-shaped moon about 112 by 50 miles in size. But what is really weird about these twins is the fact that S11's orbit is only about 30 miles from the concentric orbit of S10. Since their paths are so close together, and their diameters are so great, it should be impossible for them not to collide--but they do not?
In 1986 Voyager 2 met Uranus's family for the first time. Once again, it was the same old story. But in this case "the father planet" was turned over on his side, rotating around horizontal poles instead of vertical ones. National Geographic says that "many astronomers suspect that a body the size of Earth once struck the big planet and knocked it askew."
Some of his planetary children hardly fared much better. Voyager 2 confirmed this when it looked at two of his satellites, Miranda and Umbriel. When one of the surprised team leaders evaluating the voyager data was confronted with the shocking picture of the huge hole in Umbriel, he announced that "the only rational idea so far is that recently some big object struck Umbriel, creating the 75-kilomer doughnut." Another analyzer studying the destruction decided "Miranda was blasted apart by a huge body, then reassembled."
